What your day tubing down the Guape River Canyon looks like
The day before, TUREM will confirm your launch time and meeting point based on the assigned time slots at the canyon's starting point. The meeting point depends on whether your booking includes transportation or if you are arriving on your own.
Depending on your chosen plan: if it includes TUREM transportation, we depart from Mesetas towards the Guape Canyon. If it does not include transportation, travelers arrive at the starting point on their own. A 4x4 or high-clearance vehicle is recommended. It is a 41 km (25.5-mile) drive from Mesetas, 35 km of which are on unpaved dirt roads unsuitable for low-clearance cars.
Float down the canyon among rock formations and lush vegetation. Your launch time will be shared the day before the activity, as it depends on operator shifts at the put-in point.
Time for photos and a refreshing swim in this unique setting of rock formations.
Pass through the cave and spot oilbirds (guácharos) in their natural habitat.
A stop to rest and enjoy an included snack.
End of the river journey and an included lunch. If your plan includes TUREM transportation, return to Mesetas. If it does not include transportation, the activity ends here.
